The web is not "the field of dreams" people tell you a bout. Just because you build it they will not necessarily come to buy. What do you do if you have a site and you get lots of visitors, but they just don't buy? Well let me tell you I have been there and done that. I can tell you how to fix it in two words "hire Steve".

Let me give examples to those more skeptical amongst us. When Steve (Aboavista) and I started the conversion repairs for my site I had converted exactly .01% of my site visitors to a sale. That was a whopping $31 return on a $1500 ad spend. Ouch! After the vein in my bosses head stopped throbbing, I was able to talk him into giving me another chance before pulling the plug on the entire project.

Enter Steve. He made many changes to the overall site layout, basically redesigning the site altogether. After the redesign process was done, the proof was in the pudding.

Conversion went up the first month after the site was re-launched from the anemic .01% to .8%, that was the difference between 1 sale and 40. That was only the first month. As Steve's mantra is test, test, test before the process was done we were converting browsers to buyers at 1.3%!

That 1.3% conversion meant rather than the $31 return I had before Steve worked his magic, after the repairs I was bringing in more than $3900 a month. And things are still continuing to improve!
